Coffee has been woven into our lives since we were little kids. Growing up in a Hispanic household, everyone drinks coffee. Café con leche was introduced at an early age, and with every cup, our appreciation for coffee continued to grow.

In 2019, while visiting Cuba, we discovered an amazing local coffee shop that captured our hearts. It was more than just a place to enjoy great coffee—it was a gathering place filled with warmth, conversation, and community. Sitting there, we found ourselves dreaming of opening a coffee shop of our own someday, a place where we could share our passion for exceptional coffee and create the same welcoming experience for others.

In 2021, that dream became a reality when we opened The Living Room Cafe in the historic part of Gretna. What began as a love of coffee quickly grew into a passion for understanding every step of its journey. We learned about the origins of our beans, the farmers who grow them, and the importance of supporting ethical sourcing and fair wages. We discovered how factors such as elevation, climate, and the roasting process shape the unique character of every cup.

As our knowledge grew, so did our commitment to the craft. We dedicated ourselves to perfecting each espresso shot—carefully weighing every dose, grinding beans fresh to order, monitoring extraction, and timing each shot with precision. While these details may seem small, they make all the difference. By paying attention to every step, we ensure that each cup we serve reflects our passion for quality and delivers the exceptional coffee experience our customers deserve.

At A Pleasing Aroma, we believe that exceptional coffee begins with exceptional equipment. That's why we use industry-leading tools, including our La Marzocco Linea Mini espresso machine, paired with Mazzer and Mahlkönig E65W grinders to ensure every shot is crafted with precision and consistency.

Our custom coffee cart, built by Simple Cart Systems, is designed with both functionality and elegance in mind. Equipped with a water filtration system, sink, and pump, it allows us to serve premium coffee anywhere while adding a beautiful, sophisticated touch to your event.
